Truly Amazing Story: The Lost Taxi Driver

In a world where people aren’t always friendly or understanding, sometimes we forget that everyone’s dealing with their own challenges. Sometimes all it takes is the willingness to see through their scowl and into their pain to lessen that burden for them.

You never know what is going on with someone else–and you never know how an act of kindness will shine a light back on you.

  1. This is mind blowing. I’m forwarding it to my children. It makes you see there is so much more to what’s going on in the world than what the media tells us.

Thanks for sharing this. Isn’t life grand?

  2. Anita says:

Wow! What a story. Truly touching. It always does the heart good to hear good news stories. Thank you for sharing this. Have a great day!

  3. Doug says:

    Hey Lori,
I just found your blog and love what you’re doing. Thank you for your hopefulness. I hope you are getting enough encouragement to realize just how much impact you can have.

  4. It’s a very good reason to never take anything personally either. Someone’s scowl has more to do with them than it has to do with you!

  5. Lori Deschene says:

Tess~ Exactly! There’s a lot of happy news out there, as well. This story really warmed my heart.

Anita~ You’re welcome, and you, too!

Doug~ Thank you for that. What a wonderful thing to read =) If there’s one thing that I want out of life, it’s to feel like I make a difference. So thank you again!

Michelle~ That’s a great point. My mom used to tell me “not everything’s all about you” because I took almost everything personally when I was younger. You just never know what’s going on in someone’s life.

  6. Anne P says:

Oh my gosh… what an incredible story. I am totally tearing up right now that made me so happy :)

  7. Hans Fredrik says:

Wow! Simply incredible! I’m moved to tears…

Thank you for sharing it! ;-)

  8. Karen Brooks says:

How absolutely wonderful to see such an amazing story. Heart warming to know that there are still acts of kindness being done every day. Keep up the good work in keeping these kinds of postings on your blog. We need to know that this is going on.
    Thank you,
